Just got gallery representation at Eye On Art ( eyeonartgallery.blogspot.com ) gallery in Carmel, IN. Very nice gallery owner, Jerry Points. He's got a very nice space on a prime location on Main St. in the Carmel Arts District. In my opinion it's the best gallery spot in Indiana right now. The gallery is very nicely done as well, and has what seems to be a solid stable of artists. It opens this weekend... 9/26-27, and I'm glad to be on board!Right now I'm finishing a large scale piece in my studio, an architectural abstraction, and as soon as I've finished with that I'd like to begin some small scale pedestal pieces in forged and fabricated steel and dyed birch sheet. These will be models for public work, but should also stand alone as more formal sculptural work. I think I'm ready for a break of sorts, and want to just experiment with materials, surfaces, and forms. No conceptually driven work for the time being.
